Hostinger competes on price and, unusually for budget hosting, largely delivers on performance too: LiteSpeed servers, NVMe storage on current plans, a clean custom control panel (hPanel) and datacentres across several regions. For a small business WordPress site or a first serious web presence, it is one of the strongest value propositions in shared hosting.

Hostinger hosting overview

Understand the pricing model before buying. Headline prices (often $2–4/month) require 48-month prepayment and renew at the published rates of roughly $11–26/month depending on plan — this is standard industry practice, but it surprises people. Evaluate Hostinger at its renewal price; it remains competitive there, which is the honest test a lot of budget hosts fail.

Limits to respect: shared hosting is shared — a traffic spike on a busy store deserves the VPS or cloud tiers; support is chat-based (competent, occasionally queued at peak); and the AI website builder, while quick for a placeholder presence, is not a substitute for a properly built WordPress or Webflow site. As a home for owner-managed WordPress with the maintenance basics handled (one-click staging, backups on higher tiers), it earns its recommendation.

Our performance commentary reflects documented specifications and our experience hosting small client sites; we have not run formal load benchmarks — treat third-party benchmark claims with the usual caution.
