Samsung Galaxy Ring

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a subscription-free smart ring with sleep tracking and an AI Energy Score, tied deeply to Galaxy phones and Samsung Health. It is the natural choice for a Galaxy-first team that wants recovery data without a monthly fee. The one thing to know is that it is Android-only in practice, and Galaxy-only for the full experience.

Is the Galaxy Ring a better buy than the Oura Ring?

• Priced at $399 per the listing's pricing line; sizing kit sold separately.
• No subscription, which is the main argument against Oura's $5.99 monthly membership.
• Energy Score and sleep insights live in Samsung Health on a Galaxy phone.
• Samsung's next ring has reportedly slipped to 2027 amid soft sales and a patent dispute with Oura, so do not expect rapid iteration.

Who should skip it

iPhone users cannot use it. Anyone who wants the most mature app and cross-platform support should look at the Oura Ring 4 despite its subscription.
