The Fire TV 50-inch Omni QLED is a 4K QLED television with Dolby Vision IQ, local dimming and hands-free Alexa, running the Fire TV platform. As a budget lobby or meeting-room screen it delivers strong picture quality for the money. The one thing to know: this is the original 2022-23 Omni QLED panel still sold new; the 2025 successor is now sold under the Ember name.

Is the Omni QLED a good meeting-room screen?

  • 50-inch 4K panel with 48-zone local dimming; TechRadar and What Hi-Fi rated it well for the price.
  • 60Hz refresh, mediocre off-axis viewing and weak built-in sound; pair it with the Fire TV Soundbar Plus.
  • Fire TV built in for streaming, casting and simple signage; the home screen carries ads.
  • A 55-inch version exists as a separate listing.

Who should skip it

Anyone who can stretch the budget will get a better picture from a Hisense U7 or TCL QM7. Rooms with wide seating angles suffer from the off-axis viewing.
