The Dreame X50 Ultra is a flagship robot vacuum-mop whose party trick is a pair of retractable ProLeap legs that lift it over thresholds of roughly 6cm. It competes head-on with the Roborock Saros 10R, and the one thing to know is that the legs handle door sills and rugs, not stairs.

What does the X50 Ultra do that cheaper robots cannot?

  • Priced around $999.99 per the listing's pricing line, down from a $1,699 launch price.
  • Threshold climbing means one robot can cover a split-level office or a home with raised door frames.
  • Full self-emptying, self-washing dock in the standard configuration; the X50 Ultra Complete is a different SKU.
  • Colour variants are separate listings.

For a mid-price alternative, the eufy X10 Pro Omni does most of the job for less. Browse smart home and robotics.

Who should skip it

Anyone with a single-level, threshold-free space is paying for legs they will not use. Anyone expecting a robot that climbs stairs should ignore the viral clips; no consumer robot does that.
